The ‘Fly-Over’ tour…

Well, blue sky nine is back on the road. We've been doing gigs in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa, and head out this weekend to Nebraska for about two weeks of playing campuses there. I know the term 'fly-over' states is probably not a term of endearment, but I have never seen so much corn and soybeans in my life. And I grew up in Indiana! So as you read this, say a quick prayer for Jennifer and the girls, and for me too. This will be a longer tour outing, and it gets a little old for them with me gone. They didn't know we weren't rock stars. Normally, we wouldn't have told them otherwise, but they did ask if we were famous and I felt compelled by my sense of honesty, justice, and logic to tell them the truth. So I told them that we're not really that famous. And my sense is that if people have to ask if you are famous, it probably means you're not. But anyway, about 130 kids at York Middle School in Virginia treated us like rock stars just the same, and when it came time to talk about spiritual things, they listened.
