Exploring Discipleship In Africa
To kick off January, Eric (Two Eight’s Executive Director) traveled to Kenya with a small film team to document a disciplemaking movement gaining momentum in different parts of Africa. This movement centers on the teachings of Jesus and emphasizes practical, everyday ways to live them out.
While there, the team witnessed powerful expressions of faith in action, including service to the poor, advocacy for the oppressed, literacy education for both children and adults, occupational training, care for the sick, and many other outward demonstrations of the Gospel at work in communities. Two Eight has been working closely with the movement’s leadership to explore how this simple, reproducible training model can be adapted and applied in the United States.
Continuing our Campus Ministry Partnerships…
Coming up February 6th – 8th, we are (once again) partnering with Greek InterVarsity. Their specific ministry is to college students in fraternities and sororities, and our role is to lead worship and provide technical production (sounds, lights, video) for a conference of around 400 college students. (That’s the 2025 Greek Conference in the photo above.)
This is a very strategic event for them in the scope of their yearly ministry, as many of the students that attend the conference are not already Christ-followers. And while we’ve actually lost count, Two Eight has partnered with Greek IV for over 20 conference events in the past and we’re excited to continue to serve them.
And finally… THANKS!
I’m very happy to report that my personal year-end giving goals were more than met! That’s a huge blessing. Two Eight also had a year-end campaign for our general fund which started on Giving Tuesday (December 2 ). Our goal was to raise $50,000, and thanks to a generous partner’s $25,000 matching grant, we went over our goal and raised a total of $55,511.16!
So we’re starting off the year from a place of deep gratitude. Your sacrifices and prayers enable us to continue creating music, media and moments that move people towards Jesus, and we’re eager to see what the Lord has for us in 2026
