In addition to the Summer of Recovery Tour, our team partnered with the Safe Haven Recovery Engagement Center in Paoli Indiana for their ‘Celebrate Orange County Recovery’ event (shown below).

Brittany Stout, who is Safe Haven’s Founder, was an event host on the 2023 Summer of Recovery Tour. That experience inspired her to organize an event of their own this summer, apart from the state-sponsored tour. Two Eight provided the band, sound, staging and event production assistance for the 3-hour event, which featured local recovery resources, stories of hope, a time of worship, and some fun party music from the Two Eight band.

Multiplying events that help people experience physical AND spiritual recovery is one of the most rewarding things we do, and we hope EVERY community will pick up the torch the way Brittany has.

Also this summer, we had the opportunity to partner with Nothing is Wasted ministries and its founder Pastor Davey Blackburn to celebrate the launch of his new book, also titled Nothing is Wasted. Davey’s tragic story came into the national spotlight in 2015 when his pregnant wife Amanda was murdered in their Indianapolis home.

Now, 9 years later, he has published a book and launched a ministry that provides content, coaching, and community to help people find purpose in their pain. As a pastor and friend, Davey is part of Two Eight’s extended family in the local church community, and it was a blessing to provide musical worship, video, audio and event production services for his celebration. It was a privilege for us to help Davey proclaim that nothing – not even suffering – is wasted in the economy of God’s Kingdom.

September is National Recovery Month, and some of our upcoming events include the Recovery Rocks festival in Ft. Wayne, the Voices of Recovery event for Safe Haven in Paoli, and the inaugural Recovery and Faith Conference in Lafayette in October. We’ve become trusted partners with many different organizations, so please keep us and these events in prayer as we seek to represent and proclaim Jesus in these spaces.

It’s been a busy season, and we’re grateful for your sacrifices of prayer and finances! You are a huge part of how God provides for us as we work to create music and moments that move people toward Jesus.
